ivan Fortmatic is a wallet provider. It's web-based wallet that makes it easy for you to keep your tokens online without dealing too much with the complexity of blockchain. However, it has it's drawbacks - you don't own your Private Key.
We've talked to Fortmatic about the issues that you've been encountering, and this is a result of Fortmatic deciding to increase their security measures for all accounts. This is why you might encounter messages asking you to check for a verification code, or to setup 2FA.
Fortmatic is not the same as Morpher - we simply allow our users to use their Fortmatic wallets on Morpher. All users on Morpher have the choice between using Metmask (more complicated) and Fortmatic (the easier option).
Unfortunately, we have little-to-no control over Fortmatic's updates, and while they are upgrading their system there may be some login issues. Our developers have been working hard today to accomodate the changes that Fortmatic has made so that they work seamlessly with Morpher. Please have a little patience.
What is 2FA?
2FA, or two-factor authentication, is a way of protecting the security of your account by asking you to confirm with a second device or login method that it is really you. If someone knows your account password they still won't be able to login because they won't have access to your email as well. This is why it's important to have different passwords for different websites on the internet.
How can I configure my 2FA preferences in Fortmatic?
If you login to Morpher and go to the Settings page you will see a button that says "Open Crypto Wallet" you can set up your 2FA there.
Alternatively, you can go to Fortmatic.com and click "Wallet", which will prompt you to login to your Fortmatic wallet. From there you can setup your 2FA preferences.
