We recently discovered that some positions on Morpher were being wrongly liquidated. Luckily this only affected a small percent of users: 20 traders. Obviously this is the type of issue we take very seriously and swiftly moved to fix.
For the crypto geeks, the cause of the problem was a bug in our callbacks with the Blockchain Oracle, not the smart contracts (which remain iron-clad 🔐).
The affected users will be refunded their loss, with an extra token gift for their troubles. These token gifts come from the existing token supply. Note for all token owners, this is deflationary (tokens burned), so the relative value of your tokens has theoretically increased after this debacle.
Some upcoming features include automatic email alerts when a position is truly liquidated. We understand that right now it's not super clear when a position goes bankrupt. So we're working to update the UI and notifications after liquidation events.
Status of Invites
We've been moving slow and steady. This is an example of a crucial fix that being in private beta with small number of users helps us resolve quickly. Invites coming, still targeting this week!
⚠️ Important: We carefully checked all trades, but if you think one of your positions was affected please contact support with details!
