🎉 Congratulations to 30,000 registrations and some thoughts

As the Airdrop & Referral Bonus Dropping Soon discussion got unstickied at the end of last week, I think it’s time to congratulate the Morpher-Team and all the users who did the referrals, for exceeding the next milestone of 30,000 Airdrop participants / KYC verifications 🥳🍾🎂

Beside the launch of the trading platform and the other steps on the Product Roadmap, it will be a major challenge to encourage the Airdrop participants to become actual users of the platform. Despite the possibility of testing the alpha version / paper trading version, there seems to be quite a number of users who do not even know what Morpher is, how it works or why it’ll be a game-changer in its domain. I hope you have plans for something like an educational campaign, with simple instructional videos and tutorials, to empower all users to make the best out of the Morpher trading platform. This would certainly also help to attract more people to the platform.

Interestingly, there are some people in the forum that have already lost access to their wallet, even though it was not yet required to specify a wallet address to claim the Airdrop reward. These incidents show that some additional warnings will be necessary, to point out that people themselves are responsible for their own wallet and that they need to back up their wallet credentials securely. Some wallet tutorials will certainly also be appreciated, otherwise rather more than less Morpher Tokens could get locked up forever in lost wallets.

The growing community should also be used as an opportunity to define some rules and guidelines on how to use the forum (e.g. read the Morpher Guide and use the search function before posting) and how to interact with other users (e.g. be respectful and don’t use rude language). It could be also a good idea to restrict the posting language to English only, to improve the readability and a community FAQ could help to reduce the number of the ever-recurring questions.

As everyone, I’m still eagerly looking forward to the launch of the platform, but till then I’ll be happy to further try to be of support to the Morpher community 🚀🚀🚀

Definitely. Probably not super polished tutorials right out of the gate, but at least proper guidance in-app and clear materials to support it.

This is a big reason why we're defaulting to Fortmatic in production. You can recover your password yet it's still non-custodial. Won't solve every issue, but at least account recovery is possible.

Great points on setting rules and guidelines. We've partially postponed that until the platform launches (ie why no moderaters have been added yet). We expect the forum to transform quite a bit when the focus is trading rather than the airdrop. Looking forward to future feedback and help steering this community!

NelsonKamau Noted, and I agree that an audience interested in trading is far more useful to the network than just a big audience. But really everyone is welcome to advocate their approach. The focus for us is to democratize trading. A lot of that will turn out to be users that have never traded before. Still, Airdrop was just one step in democratization. Many more steps to come.
