Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We could not detect any errors in our app our UI related to the issues that you've described. We believe that our messaging is consistent and that the UI clearly shows limits on sidechain to mainchain withdrawals. The withdrawal process is a two-step procedure consisting of burning tokens on the sidechain and minting an equivalent amount on the mainchain (you can read more about plasma scaling in our guide and in our whitepaper). The UI and app ensure that the withdrawal process can be successfully completed, albeit within the described limits. Starting this process manually by doing direct smart contract calls on the protocol level is neither directly supporter, nor advised, and thus we cannot take any liability for it.
